The Safety Coordinator position coordinates, monitors, and controls the daily safety and training activities for the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

Coordinates and monitors safety and training functions to ensure organization compliance to laws enforced by OSHA.
Designs, develops, and works with management on enforcing policies that establish a culture of health and safety Coordinates and leads compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support the safety department Collaborates with operations to develop and submit annual safety improvement goals for facility and management review Administers, maintains, and updates safety training program and records including the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Coordinate and lead incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis', Job Hazard Analysis' and provides effective follow up for counter measures and/or corrective actions Evaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE; issue vouchers for safety glasses and boots and LOTO management.
Ensure that proper warning systems and evacuation procedures are in place, schedule/track emergency drills, assist in emergency response.
and provide first aid treatment; assist in the EAP Responsible for worker's compensation record keeping--OSHA 300 Log Responsible for inputting accident and safety incident information into CORITY Monitors and tracks safety performance of team members and contractors; Issues safety violations Coordinates and provides leadership for the continuous improvement program (Kaizen) for safety Prepare applicable safety reports and maintain relevant safety logs and training records Coordinates safety and training activities with operations and HR Track training program effectiveness and develop activities to improve training effectiveness and follow up Leads monthly employee Safety Committee Conducts trainings and presentations for health and safety programs in order to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Maintain and inspect facility, machinery, and equipment to observe and evaluate unsafe conditions through audits and inspections Maintain adequate PPE supplies and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE Update, maintain, and train on the BCP Plan QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Associates and/or Certification in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety /Environmental Health preferred, but not required.
Three years related experience with an understanding of OSHA and Environmental related standards and/or a combination of experience/education.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedures, and work instructions.
Ability to write process procedures, standards, work instructions, routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers, or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to construct and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Perform data entry and use various personal computer software (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook).
Knowledge of metric system.
Mechanically inclined.
